About Me

Faith — The bridge between where I am and where GOD is taking me.

As a Christian, wife, and mother of two beautiful children, each day I rely on faith. I have faith that God has a plan for me.  He has opened doors for me both personally and professionally. I am thankful for his blessings of good health and happiness in my life. I am blessed with a supportive husband, daughter and son, and very proud of them all.

I have always wanted to be a teacher. I can only think of a short time in my life when I considered modeling my mother and being a nurse. Other than that, I have dreamed of teaching. I believe that successful educators have the heart of a missionary. Teachers are servant leaders, putting the needs of others before their own. Successful teachers continue to give, and give, and expect little in return.

As a graduate from Stephen F. Austin University in 1998, I began my career as a teacher in a small rural school. Living the life of a high school coaches wife, I moved and changed schools on the average of every three to four years. I chose to carry positive aspects of each district with me during my educational journey.

As I prepare to complete my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology and Leadership, almost 20 years after my professional expedition began, I have faith that this opportunity will allow me to offer knowledge and support to my fellow cohorts. I choose to pursue the path of technology integration in rural districts, and open doors for these students to grow and learn. My desire is to use technology integration in the classroom to bridge where our students are now, to where their future leads them. Faith in our students, their potential, and their future is what continues to drive my quest for knowledge.
